If a study abroad trip does not run during the academic year, the scholarship may be awarded to a student that has taken a biology class at Harper College or is currently enrolled in a biology class that meets bullet points 3-6.
Students applying to participate in a Harper College Faculty-Led Study Abroad program. All Harper College faculty-led programs are transferable college-credit bearing classes. Priority will be given to students applying to study in Costa Rica and/or who are applying to participate in a study abroad life or physical science class.
Preference to students demonstrating financial need.
Priority to students from under-served populations.
GPA of 2.5 or higher (student with a cumulative GPA lower than 2.5 may be considered at the discretion of the Foundation).
Preference for students with a recommendation letter from a faculty member in the biology department.
