BETTY MEDEARIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2016-2017 ACADEMIC YEAR

Elgin Area Branch of American Association of University Women offers one $1,000.00 scholarship to be used to meet under-graduate college expenses for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Selection Criteria:

• All applications shall be postmarked by May 1, 2016

• Applicants shall be 19 years of age by May 1, 2016

• Applicants shall be female.

• Applicants shall have successfully completed at least 12 semester hours (or equivalent) college credit.

• Applicants must plan to attend a college within a 50 mile radius of Elgin. **

• The recipient will be granted a student-affiliate membership in the Elgin Area Branch of AAUW and will be invited to attend branch meetings and activities. It is hoped that the recipient will attend AAUW’s May dinner meeting at which time the scholarship will be awarded.
