Sunderbruch Speech and Debate Scholarship

Speech – Awarded to a high school student of traditional age, intending to enroll at Harper College full-time (minimum of 12 hours per semester) during the next academic year. Student must commit to participate on the Harper College Speech and Debate Team for a minimum of one (1) year. In addition, student recipient must meet 2 of the following 3 criteria:

  1. Demonstrate academic merit and leadership as measured by a 25 ACT score OR supported by a letter of recommendation from high school faculty or administration;
  2. Have previous success in forensics at the high school level (with priority given to candidates with experience in limited preparation speaking and/or debate events);
  3. Have financial need.

You MUST be enrolled at Harper College the semester in which you will receive this award or you will not receive the award in its entirety.
