Drs. Robert H. and C. Jayne Wilcox Otter Chemistry Endowed Scholarship

Chemistry – Awarded to a current student who has completed or is in the process of completing at least one chemistry class (excluding Independent Research) at Harper College and who is planning to take another chemistry class (excluding Independent Research) at Harper College. Students must have an overall grade point average at Harper College of at least 2.0 and are required to submit one letter of recommendation from a Harper College Department of Chemistry faculty member. We suggest emailing your professor and notifying them that you are requesting a reference before you send the form. The scholarship may not be awarded to a student who has previously been awarded this scholarship.
The entire scholarship fund amount will be disbursed to the scholarship recipient in Fall Term.

  • The spirit of the scholarship is to provide incentive to students who are not necessarily the best performers so that they will continue to strive for excellence in their academic studies.
  • The scholarship was created to acknowledge a scholar as a person who enjoys learning for learning’s sake, exhibits integrity, and is willing to make sacrifices in pursuit of an education.

You MUST be enrolled at Harper College the semester in which you will receive this award or you will not receive the award in its entirety.
